Elliott is a powerful ball-striker and useful medium-pacer
Surrey have signed New Zealand all-rounder Grant Elliott as their overseas player for the opening weeks of the new county season.
The 30-year-old, who was born in South Africa, is due to arrive on 21 April and will stay until the end of May.
"Having someone of his ability around will definitely strengthen us, especially in one-day cricket" said Surrey cricket manager Chris Adams.
Elliott has played three Tests and 21 one-day matches for New Zealand.
And he hit his maiden international century in a one-dayer against Australia in Sydney last month.
"I'm really excited about playing for Surrey. It will be a great opportunity for me and I hope I can make a difference and help win some games during my time there.
